Wheel of Tease Returns for 4 Times the Fun

December 2, 2014 at 6:52 PMVioletDeVille

CopyrightThere are two things you don’t see a lot of in neo-burlesque today: live music and on-the-spot -improvisation. When these two elements do come to pass, the result is a rare and beautiful thing. On the Friday, February6th eight performers, some burlesque stars and a few fresh faces, will take the stage and create spontaneous performances using props and song chosen by members of the audience. The soundtrack to this “kamikaze burlesque” will be performed live by Seattle’s only electro-swing band Good Co. Join us for a night of spur-of-the-moment striptease and silly, sexy fun.

And we're bringing this madness to you four times in 2015.

Sir Eddie Van Glam is back, leading audience members to the stage and helping them select the music Good Co will play and the prop the performer has to dance with.

Each show has a different cast of performers. Some are local, some are from other states, and a few are from another country altogether.

February 6th features Reggie Bügmüncher and Kat De Lac from the Keystone state of Pennsylvania . They'll be joining Lowa de Boom Boom, Miss Violet DeVille, Absurdity Belle, Jesus la Pinga, Morgan LaMay, and The Black Sparrow.

May 8th stars the Paris Original, and features Bettie Fever from Vancouver, B.C., Trixie Paprika, Miss Violet DeVille, Artemis Lark, Morgue Anne, Razzberry Rocket, and Dahlia Ste. cyr.

August 8th brings Vancouver, B.C. starlets Faux Foxy and Ruby Slickeur to our stage along with the local flavor of Cherry "Killer" Tomatoes, Miss Violet DeVille, Bella Luna, Kristina Weena, Mandy Flame, and Verity Germaine.

November sets us up with Rock Hart, the international boylesque sinsation from Edinburgh, Scotland and Port Angeles' own Siouxzie Queen Gypsy and featuring performances from Sara Dipity, Whisper De Corvo, Cirquesse, Miz Melancholy, Magnolia Monroe, and Nickey Bourbon.

Rule 34 - If you can think of it, there is porn of it.

Like physics, the internet has its own set of “natural” laws. The most exciting: Rule 34, which states that if you can think of it, there is sexually explicit material of it. Therein lies our inspiration. With a steaming hot cast of burlesque’s finest, Rule 34 explores the deepest depths of our imaginations and the interwebs that bring them to light.

“Why you think the net was born? Porn! Porn! Porn!” – Trekkie Monster, from the hit Broadway musical Avenue Q.

Over 30% of all Internet traffic contains porn and YouPorn.com uses 6 times the bandwidth of the streaming media site Hulu. We think Trekkie Monster might be onto something.

Rule 34 is May 10th at the Re-Bar in Seattle. Mister Bawdy is our Master of Ceremonies, our Potentate of Porn, our Sultan of Smut, and our Dictator of Dirt. Following his lead is Tamara the Trapeze Lady, Boom Boom L’Roux, Whisper De Corvo, Miss Violet DeVille, Maggie McMuffin, Cinnamon Maxxine, Magnolia Monroe, Morgue Anne, Dee Lushious, and Ms. Audrey Rugburn! The doors open at 6:30 pm and seating begins at 7:00 pm with the showing starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $13 and are available through www.BrownPaperTickets.com and for $15 at the box office day of show.

Meet the Cast: Katie Kat of the Belltown Burlesque on 2/8

February 4, 2014 at 9:05 PMVioletDeVille

CopyrightAt least one person has noted that she can be creepy and perhaps kooky. They’ve said she’s mysterious and spooky. Still others have said that maybe she’s all together ooky. You may feel differently about this first mate of the Feisty Felines, the pirate cat girl performance group. Personally, we like to think of her as neat, sweet, and petite. On February 8th, Katie Kat will wear her heart on her black fur coat sleeve—rather than storing it in the glass jar she buries in the cemetery out back—and brings us a shockingly delightful tribute to everyone’s favorite hairless uncle. We’re positive you’ll find the performance downright electrifying when you join us for the Belltown Burlesque Revue at the Re-Bar.

Meet the Cast: Mandy Flame of the Belltown Burlesque Revue on 2/8

January 31, 2014 at 4:10 PMVioletDeVille

CopyrightSeattle’s Leggy Lovely is a first class dame, a real jet setting stewardess with a lover in every port. Mandy Flame is a lady of vintage styling and pinup sensibility but she has a bit of a secret though. She doesn’t talk about it much and then, when she does, it is only to trusted confidants. It is in extreme confidence that we are sharing this with you right now. She’s secretly a nerd girl. Please, don’t spread this around, but she also goes to science-fiction conventions too. Some would be scandalized by this revelation but we’re actually pretty excited about it. Let’s see where this secret life takes her at the Belltown Burlesque Revue on February 8th.

Get your tickets now! A limited number of Premium and V.I.P. seats remain at http://belltownburlesque.brownpapertickets.com.
